Mediocre is tiny—less than 600kB for the executable that contains the entire program and it’s dependencies. No installation is required.
Mediocre starts loading the next file well ahead of time, so when the current file ends you won’t have to wait for the next one.
Most current TV sets allow you to set the aspect ratio of the source video, this makes it possible to achieve a higher effective resolution for widescreen video. Just provide a list of the aspect ratios your TV can handle and Mediocre will select the most suitable one. If you’d like, it can also try to detect borders in the video and remove them from the output.
User controllable audio resync lets you compensate for all-too-common encoding errors.
